A stretch of landscape, reflection on water of
the vegetation, that flows and blurs the image. Clouds rushed forwards by wind.
An image in my head of something intangible Femke wants to keep, to have,
because it gives her a quiet mind, soothes her brain, gives her a feeling of
space. This piece also depicts the way we humans ‘designate’ certain areas as
nature. We put a fence around it, defining boundaries to where nature is
allowed to be ‘wild’. As if vegetation, air, water and animal life is not a connected
living organic system but something that can be limited to thrive in a certain
site, to the borders.
