Olga Malygina
Overview
Olga’s mastery of stone transcends the conventional boundaries of mosaic art, turning the medium into a canvas as delicate as pencil drawings or as intricate as woven tapestries.
Olga Malygina is a mosaic artist who experiments with various materials and creates her works through abstract thinking. Since 2005, Olga has dedicated herself to the art of mosaics, creating a diverse array of sculptures, murals, and bas-reliefs. Her work ranges from abstract compositions to those imbued with a naïve or ethnic sensibility.
The beauty of nature inspires Malygina. In the works she combines oil, glass, ceramics, wood, metal, natural forms with a geometric module. Malygina always find new techniques, materials and their combinations.
Olga works with frost-resistant and moisture-resistant materials, so she can create both interior and exterior work. She often works with architects and designers and her work can be seen in private and public spaces in Russia, France and Greece.
