Olga Engel harmoniously mixes luxury with minimalism, functionality and ergonomics with a light mood and a touch of irony.

Olga Engel is a Russian product and interior designer based in Latvia and in France. She graduated from the Moscow Textile Academy, one of the best design Universities in Russia. After studying she practiced graphic design and design of packaging for cosmetic products. In 2010 Olga received an interior designer diploma in the Moscow design school “Details” and continued her studies at KLC School of Design in London, where she got an internship with the famous British designer Mark Humphrey.

Olga Engel harmoniously fuses materiality with minimalism while twisting functionality with a light mood and poetic touch of irony. Olga always takes cue from personal stories, bringing sensitivity and charisma to her works and the space they sit in.⁠ Her practice is fuelled by her desire to metamorphose ordinary objects into whimsical design pieces by giving them new, unexpected functions. ⁠Olga's design is always a personal story, that involves unique charisma and charm for each and every object and the space itself.

Olga Engel’s pieces can be found in private collections across Europe and USA as well as at Moscow Design Museum.
