Valeriya Isyak
When Porcelain Becomes a Painting
Passionate about drawing and painting since childhood, Ukrainian artist Valeriya Isyak discovered the mosaic technique at the end of her art studies, and then turned to ceramics, which became her preferred mode of expression. By perfecting her craft and exploring all the possibilities of this material, she has managed to synthesize her favorite arts through wall panels that are emblematic of her work, veritable "ceramic paintings." Handling them delicately with tweezers one by one, she meticulously assembles thousands of hand-crafted porcelain petals, building her painting stroke by stroke. Each one finds its rightful place, contributing to the balance and coherence of the whole, composing a unified structure.
