Valeriya Isyak

porcelain that Breathes

One of the wonders of our time is how distances have blurred. Through our screens and a sequence of messages, we can encounter artists creating in Kiev, Amsterdam, or New York, and yet their work can move us with the same immediacy as if it were just inches from our hands. This is how we discovered Valeriya Isyak, an artist born in Ukraine whose ceramic work awakens the senses and invites us on a visual and tactile journey that moves us with its delicacy, scale, and symbolic depth.

Specializing in the restoration of monumental mosaics, Isyak explored various disciplines before finding her most intimate and powerful language in ceramics. Her practice intertwines painting, sculpture, and gesture. Wall panels composed of thousands of hand-molded porcelain petals form the basis of a body of work that is experienced as an extended form in space, breathing with both strength and fragility.
