The nobility of mother-of-pearl is revealed precisely through its imperfections—its irregular shapes and shades make each piece a unique expression of perfection. The contour of the tabletop evokes the shape of a seashell and a fingerprint. The steel-and-wood frame is encased in hand-carved material and then completely covered with a layer of meticulously crafted, hand-laid mother-of-pearl mosaic; the whole is complemented by marble on the tabletop.
