In the artist's view, standing in front of a lake possesses a singular power to calm the mind. Wanting to preserve this sensation, Moon Seop Seo chose to bring home a fragment of a lake close to his heart. Yet the moment the collected water settles into a glass, its magic disappears. With this work, the artist seeks to restore the sense of vitality in living water, translating it into a spatial experience within the urban environment and inviting the viewer to pause and find a moment of stillness. As droplets fall and ripple across the surface of the puddle, the water is once again brought to life.
